I’m the founder of Noohn, and I wanted to share a little about my story, my background, and why I created a brand built around softness and representation in beauty.
Growing Up With Asian Beauty Standards
As an Asian woman, my relationship with beauty started early. I grew up seeing features like mine rarely represented in mainstream beauty. The beauty looks that were considered ideal often centered around Western features. Bigger eyes. Deep creases. Long curled lashes that somehow always seemed to sit perfectly.
And then there was me.
Monolids or smaller double lids. Softer eye shapes. Shorter natural lashes. Makeup never really looked on me the way it did in the tutorials. And when it came to false lashes, nothing ever fit quite right.
They were usually too heavy, too dramatic, or designed for a completely different eye shape. Instead of enhancing my features, they would cover my lids or sit awkwardly on my lash line. I remember thinking, maybe lashes just aren’t for me.
But the truth was simple.
They just weren’t made for me.
The Gap I Couldn't Ignore
As I got older and worked in creative and beauty spaces, I realized I wasn’t alone. So many Asian women shared the same experience. Lashes felt either too bold or uncomfortable. The lash band poked. The style overpowered our eye shape instead of complementing it.
There was always this feeling of trying to fit into a beauty standard that wasn’t built with us in mind.
I didn’t want lashes that transformed me into someone else.
I wanted lashes that looked like me, just a little softer and lifted.
And that was the beginning of Noohn.
Why I Created Noohn
I built Noohn with one clear intention.
To design lashes that truly consider Asian features and softer eye shapes. Styles that sit comfortably. Bands that feel flexible and lightweight. Designs that enhance without overwhelming.
Beauty should not require you to change yourself. It should work with you.
Representation Matters To Me
For so long, Asian beauty lived in the background of mainstream beauty conversations. But our features are not trends. They are real. They are ours. And they deserve products that are thoughtfully designed, not just adjusted as an afterthought.
With Noohn, I want Asian women and anyone with similar eye shapes to feel seen, considered, and included. Not as a niche. But as the standard too.
What Noohn Stands For

This is still the beginning. I am building slowly and intentionally, always listening to what our community needs and how we can continue designing for real faces, real eyes, and real life.
